Also, when you erase, you won't see the "Scheme" menu unless the view is "All Devices." "GUID Partition Map" (the one you want) is probably the default Scheme, but you won't know for sure, if you can't see it. Here, just to be safe, make sure "View" is set to "Show All Devices" and select the actual disk for erasure, not just the volume on the disk. Make a bootable flash drive in Disk Utility.You want to do this so that when you copy over the EFI folder from your hackintosh to the flash drive (step 5), the version will match with what you will have already installed on the flash drive.
